What a difference the weather makes.
Less than a month ago, music-lovers were basking in the sun at Sittingbourne's Party In The Park and frolicking in water sprinklers to keep cool.
On Saturday, just a few miles away at the Woodcoombe Sports and Social Club in Murston, the heaven's opened and the crowd ended up dancing in the rain.
Paul Gambell, the drenched organiser of Woodfest, admitted: "I was desperately disappointed with the weather. But it didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits. And all six bands put on brilliant performances."
The Chaucers opened the show followed by Small Town Kings, Marvellous Mo and the Backline Ferrets, Dirty Channel and Curb Pilots. Marylebone Jelly repeated their stonking finale of Party in the Park by closing the day with a two-hour set.
It was Paul's third and final attempt at organising the festival.
His first try in 2017 was hit by rain. His second, last year, was postponed after a mix-up with licensing, although those tickets remained valid this year.
This time he had a full licence from Swale council for 1,000, despite a last-minute objection by one of the club's neighbours.
Before the show, Paul admitted: "I'm praying for fine weather to make it third time lucky."
He didn't get his way with the weather but the festival still sold out.
He said: "I was very happy but it was still my last Woodfest. It takes a lot of organising. Hopefully someone else will take it over and I'll be able to sit back and just enjoy the music next year."
Ed Austin, lead singer with Marylebone Jelly, said afterwards: "The British summer did its worst but the audience was incredible."
Woodcoombe Sports and Social Club hosted the event with help from bar manager Ellie Hanslow. Stalls included Lang's mobile cocktail bar, Munns Buns and Taylor's pizza.
Stage, sound and lights were provided by Triple A Events. Star Protection looked after security.
