A driver crashed into a lamppost this morning.

Police received a call at around 5.45am reporting that a car had hit a light in St Michael's Road, Sittingbourne.

Officers attended the scene and the driver was said to have minor injuries.

Witnesses reported the road was closed at around 8.40am but say it has now reopened.
