A road has now been cleared after a car collided with a wall and another vehicle on the A2 earlier this morning

The smash partially blocked the road in both directions near to The Long Hop pub in Sittingbourne.

The accident happened near Wises Lane and the A249 Maidstone Road not far from the Key Street roundabout at about 7am.

Police were called to the scene after the car collided with a nearby wall and a stationary vehicle.

Police spokesman, James Walker, said: "A van and a car have been reported as being damaged, causing an obstruction on the road, however the lane has since been cleared.

"Recovery for both vehicles has been arranged and no injuries have been reported."
