Sittingbourne High Street robbery case committed to Maidstone Crown Court

Two men have had their case committed to crown court after a man was robbed in Sittingbourne.

Reece Thomas, 18, of St Nicholas Road, Faversham, and Jonathon Earnshaw, 23, of no fixed address, were both charged with one count of robbery after a man in his 20s reported he was assaulted and had a quantity of cash stolen in the town’s High Street at around 9.30pm on October 1.

Thomas and Earnshaw appeared before Medway magistrates on October 3 where they were remanded in custody.

Neither of them entered a plea.

Their first hearing will take place at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, October 24.
