Traffic was delayed after a multi-car crash on the M2.

The accident, believed to have involved three cars, happened between Junction 5 for Sheppey, Sittingbourne and Maidstone, and Junction 6 for Faversham.

It affected traffic heading towards Brenley Corner.

Police were called to the scene at 4.15pm.

A spokesman said: "Two of the vehicles involved are reported to have moved to the hard shoulder, however, a third vehicle may be obstructing a live lane.

"At present, no serious injuries have been reported."
