A Sittingbourne man killed in a motorway smash - that left his partner and two young children seriously injured - has been named.
Sean Clasper, 45, died after a car crashed on the A1(M) near Stevenage in Hertfordshire.
A 31-year-old woman, his partner, and children aged nine and 11 were taken to hospital after the collision on Saturday morning.
The dark blue Toyota Celica was the only vehicle involved in the crash, on the northbound carriageway at J7, at about 11.30am.
Police said Mr Clasper died at the scene. The woman was flown to hospital, where she remains in a stable condition today.
The children have now been discharged from Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
PC Andy Ralph, from Hertfordshire Police, said: "Tragically, a man lost his life and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
"We are doing all we can to find out what caused this collision and I am therefore appealing for anyone who saw the incident take place, or the events leading up to it, to get in contact with police as soon as possible."
Anyone with information is asked to phone PC Ralph on 101.
