Search for missing man continues

By Hayley Robinson

The parents of missing man Matthew Green are still appealing for help to find him.

The 26-year-old was last seen at the family home in Rock Road, Sittingbourne, at 8pm on Thursday, April 8. He told his parents, Pauline and Jim, that he was going to stay with a friend for the weekend in London, but did not return.

Records show his bank account has not been touched and his passport has not been used.

Posters have been put up in shop windows in Sittingbourne, Folkestone and Gatwick Airport and CCTV footage checked.

Police say a computer used by Matthew prior to his disappearance failed to shed any light on his whereabouts.

The self-employed roofer left his mobile phone at home but is believed to have taken a holdall, his passport, driving licence and some money.

Mrs Green said: "It will be three months next week.

"The charity Missing People are meant to be placing an advert in the Daily Mirror today but I have no idea how big it is going to be or even where it will be."

Matthew has a shaved head, brown eyes and is of a slim build. He has a tattoo with the word Matty and an Indian squaw underneath it on his upper left arm and the England Three Lions on his upper right arm.

Anyone with any information should contact police on 01622 604167 or Missing People on 0500 700 700.
