A missing teenager from Sittingbourne has been found safe and well.

Freya Cook, 14, was reported missing on Monday after she had not been seen since 8.45pm on Sunday night.

Her mum Mel Lee confirmed late last night (Wednesday): "Freya has been found safe and well and is now back home. Thanks for everyone's help."

She had launched a huge social media campaign to find her daughter. Police issued an appeal on Tuesday after they became concerned about her safety.
