Tickets to the Kent Chrome and Cruisers show are being offered to a group of bikers who came to the aid of casualties involved in a five-car smash.
Organiser Ian Maggs decided to give them free entry after reading about the motorcyclists springing into action in last week’s News Extra.
The front page story told how they parked their bikes on the hard shoulder and offered assistance when the incident happened on the coast-bound carriageway of the M2 before the junction 5 turnoff for Sittingbourne on Sunday, May 24.
However, Mr Maggs, who is also known as Stumpy, has not been able to present them with their passes as he’s been unable to find the mystery heroes.
He said: “I’ve tried to track them down by going on every single biker group I can find on Facebook, 100% Biker magazine put it on their group and it’s even been picked up by Edinburgh based ones but I’ve not heard anything.
“One thing that did come up is that they may have been German as someone at the scene thought they heard a German accent.”
The Bank Holiday event, which is in its ninth year, has outgrown its usual venue of Central Park Stadium in Church Road, Murston. As a result it will be held at Abbey School, London Road, Faversham, between 10am and 4pm on August 25.
Everything from bikes and scooters to trikes and choppers and vintage cars will be on display.
There will also be an auto jumble sale, kids’ play area, stalls, food and a bar plus live music from Bill Haley tribute band Phil Haley and His Comments plus Lew Lewis and the Twilight Trio.
Tyber Cranstoun from The Dualer will also hold a busking spot between 1pm and 3pm.
Entry is £5 for adults, free for under-16s.
The fundraiser which is organised by Swale Petrol Heads, is in aid of the Royal British Legion and the Mid Kent Swans which is part of Cancer Research UK.
