Businesses are being urged to donate raffle prizes so money can be raised to build a sensory garden at a care home.
Whiteleaf Cottage, in Lower Road, Teynham, is a residential unit that cares for five men aged between 24 and 29 who have mild learning disabilities.
Tara Phee, a support worker, needs to raise £500 to buy materials which the men will then use to build a sensory garden featuring a pond with a running water feature and a covered seating area.
Miss Phee said: "The residents have a range of learning disabilities including autism, Asperger syndrome, bi-polar and dyspraxia.
"It's been proved that the sound of running water has a calming affect on people and by providing them with a covered outdoor area it means they can go outside, rain or shine.
"We want it to be a relaxing area for them and the project will keep them busy and give them something to be proud of.
"The project will cost £900 in total but we've already raised £400 in house."
