The World Superbike Championship resumes this weekend at Imola in Italy after a two-week break with Shane Byrne hunting for points.
He will be eager to make amends for a disappointing show last time out. He was 10th in the opening race at the Nurburgring in Germany and then crashed out in race two.
"I desperately want to get closer to the front at Imola," said the Sittingbourne rider.
Byrne has already got one eye on next year and his manager is working hard to secure a ride in the World Championship.
"I know he already has one solid offer on the table to stay in WSB with at least another one if not two to come," said Byrne.
"I want to stay in the championship and feel next year can be so much better."
