Sittingbourne's goalscoring form abandoned them as they played out a Ryman League Division 1 South goalless draw against Horsham YMCA at Bourne Park on Saturday.

Canadian keeper Tony Di Binardo thwarted Gary Abbott’s (pictured) side time and again, setting the tone for the afternoon when he denied Hicham Akhazzan inside 10 minutes after the Brickies forward had beaten the offside trap.

Bourne's Deren Ibrahim had to be alert end to claim Tom Lawley’s cross-shot but at the other end Nick Reeves smashed a 30-yard free-kick narrowly wide and Akhazzan was twice denied in the area by last-ditch tackles.

Sittingbourne substitute Elie Kayembe headed against the bar before Di Binardo denied Tom Bradbrook and Akhazzan hit the side-netting.

Horsham almost stole the points but Ibrahim tipped Tom Manton’s shot onto the post as the Brickies stayed 10th in the table.
