Sittingbourne joint-manager Jim Ward has boosted his squad with two new signings – and a third could follow.
Midfielder Joe Goldsmith has rejoined the club from Leatherhead, while striker Joe Taylor is making an early impression on Brickies’ fans following his release by Ward’s former club Ramsgate.
The Brickies have also made a seven-day approach for a striker which expires on Thursday.
Ward, pictured, said: "I picked Taylor for most games at Ramsgate last season so I must think something of him.
"He’s a centre forward by trade but I’m playing him on the right wing here and he hasn’t complained because he just wants to play football.
"The fans loved him on Saturday. When I took him off and he sat in the dugout, they wouldn’t stop singing his name until he came out and clapped them.
"Goldsmith left us in the summer to join Leatherhead but he phoned and asked to come back. He’s a midfielder who scores goals."
Sittingbourne will be missing Nick Davis and Hicham Akhazzan when they visit Burgess Hill in Ryman League, Division 1 South on Saturday.
