Key Sittingbourne midfielder Nick Treadwell has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a dislocated shoulder.

Treadwell, pictured, will miss Bourne’s Ryman League Division 1 South play-off push after landing awkwardly opening the scoring in a 1-1 draw against Whitstable last week.

Joint-boss Jim Ward said: "Nick went to hospital to have the shoulder popped back in but even on Saturday he couldn’t get his T-shirt on. The boy’s gutted to be out for the rest of the season and I feel for him."

The Brickies boss admitted last week he is already planning for next season but thinks his side deserve to make the play-offs this term.

He said: "We’ve been up there in the table for most of the season. There’s no pressure on us but maybe these lads deserve to do it this season.

"Every single one of them has performed way above expectations given they’re other clubs’ rejects."

Sittingbourne host strugglers Three Bridges at Bourne Park on Saturday.
