A slip road onto the M2 closed for emergency repairs causing heavy travel disruption approaching the motorway this morning.

The Stockbury roundabout coastbound slip was shut, with one lane also closed on the main carriageway between junctions 5 and 6.

The road reopened at 6.35pm.

It has caused heavy traffic on the A249 southbound coming from Sheppey and delays on the northbound south of the roundabout coming from Maidstone.
