Concerns have been raised that thieves are using keyless entry devices to gain access to locked vehicles.
The gadgets have been used twice to steal from cars parked in Iwade.
In the first incident, at around 4am on June 21, £2,000 worth of golf equipment was taken from Mark Hewett’s vehicle outside his home in Pintail Drive.

A golf bag and clubs were taken, as well as three pairs of shoes, a Barbour jacket and two pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses.
It is thought the thief used a keyless device to unlock the passenger door and disable the alarm, as the car was undamaged.
Then on Saturday August 29, Peter Oliver’s Honda was targeted outside his house in Woodpecker Drive.
The 65-year-old was on holiday at the time, but a CCTV camera captured everything.

A hooded man approaches the car and holds something up to the passenger door before gaining entry.
Mr Oliver said: “Next door to my car was my daughter’s new Jaguar, which has a state of the art locking system.
"He tries her car first and it doesn’t work, then he moves on to mine.
“He only took parking change and was interrupted when my neighbour, Tina, called out the window at him.”
He said it was the second time a car on his driveway had been broken into, adding that his work van had tools stolen from it last year, with the thief again leaving no signs of damage.
A police spokesman said: “We are investigating reports of a man behaving suspiciously around parked vehicles at an address in Woodpecker Drive, Iwade.
“It is alleged to have occurred between 3.10am and 3.18am on Saturday 29 August.”
Anyone with information about either crime should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
