YouTube video of ice bucket challenge by staff at Hempstead House Hotel, London Road, Bapchild, in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease charity

A group of hotel staff decided to take part in the latest craze in aid of charity ... the ice bucket challenge.

Eighteen employees at Hempstead House Hotel made their way into the garden to have cold water poured over them.

Director Mandy Holdstock and general manager Michael Wood also got into the spirit of things by joining in.

The fundraiser was arranged in support of Maureen Edwards who, after 12 years of employment at the hotel in London Road, Bapchild, recently retired from work due to suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.

More than £175 was raised in sponsorship but with the business matching the amount, £350 will go to the the Motor Neurone Disease Charity.
