Staff at a parcel depot were treated for eye and throat irritation after a chemical spill.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the UK Mail depot in Bonham Drive on the Eurolink Business Park, Sittingbourne just after 8am today.
Crews say they found an unknown substance spilling from a delivery on the back of an HGV parked at an industrial unit and immediately evacuated the warehouse.
Three members of staff suffered eye and throat irritation while another worker who had gone home was also called back as a precaution. They were all treated by paramedics at the scene.
Crews were at the scene for about three hours.
A KFRS spokesman said: "Using breathing apparatus, crews took samples of the liquid and analysed it using the Detection, Identification and Monitoring (DIM) vehicle that was also in attendance.
"Following analysis, it was found the liquid was likely to be a water-based cleaning product.
Crews made the area safe and used soaking granules on top of the liquid spill. Care of the area was then handed over to the manager of the depot.
