Station re-opening cancelled

The opening of a town tourist attraction has been cancelled.

The Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway was due to re-open its viaduct station for the first time in more than three years tomorrow (Friday).

But the organisers issued a statement this afternoon saying that due to hazardous materials being found in premises adjacent to the railway they are unable to operate trains along the whole of the line until further notice.
