An opportunity to visit the West Indies and play the game they love didn't stump a school cricket team.
After two years of saving, a group of 16 Borden Grammar School pupils are finally heading off to Antigua on a two-week cricket tour on April 2.
During their stay they will play six matches against local teams, two of which will take place at The Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
As well as playing cricket the team will also experience the local culture and take part in excursions across the island including a catamaran tour of all 365 beaches plus a trip to Shirley heights.
PE teacher Matt Feeney and Chris Brinn, head of sixth form, will accompany the boys on the tour.
The lads had to raise a minimum of £150 each towards the £3,000 cost of the trip.
They did this by holding a variety of fundraising events such as golf tournaments, quiz nights, inter-school football tournaments and car washing to pay for the trip.
The rest of the money was topped up by donations from family members as well as birthday and Christmas money.
Full kits and training clothing have been supplied by cricket manufacturer Kookaburra.
One of the team members, Matthew Kemp, 17, said: "It will be the chance of a lifetime, being able to play at the international stadia is just amazing."
His teammate Josh Hayes agreed, adding: "I'm really excited and we are all really grateful for this opportunity and to our parents who have helped us organise the funding."
The group fly out of Gatwick airport on April 1.
