A dashcam has captured the dramatic moment a taxi and police car collided on a busy town centre road.

The footage shows a patrol vehicle pulling out from the police station in Central Avenue onto Avenue of Remembrance in Sittingbourne, into the path of an oncoming taxi.

The two cars then crash, before the taxi hits a tree.

Police received the report at 11.25am.

A spokesman added: "The South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene following a report of minor injuries. Enquiries are ongoing."

There were passengers in the cab at the time.
