Sittingbourne and the surrounding villages will fall silent on Sunday to honour the war dead.
This year, Armistice Day coincides with Remembrance Sunday and two-minute silences will be held at 11am.
Services and Acts of Remembrance will take place at the following places and times on Sunday:
Church of SS Peter and Paul, Borden, 9.45am, the parish eucharist, followed by an Act of Remembrance at the war memorial, will be taken by Father John Lewis;
Church of St Mary the Virgin, Newington, 10am, morning prayer will be followed by an Act of Remembrance at 11am, taken by Lay Reader Amanda Lane;
Church of St Mary the Virgin, Upchurch, 10.15am, a service of Remembrance will be taken by The Reverend Jacky Davis with an Act of Remembrance at 11am;
Church of St Michael and All Angels, Hartlip, 10.50am for 11am, The Reverend Canon Alan Amos will lead an Act of Remembrance, followed by Holy Communion;
St Margaret’s Church, Lower Halstow, 10.30am, the service will be taken by Mr Alan Swift;
All Saints, Iwade, 10.30am, a service of morning prayer, with an Act of Remembrance at 11am, will be led by The Reverend Ron Partridge;
Holy Trinity Church, Milton Regis, 10am, the service will be taken by the Reverend Margaret Mascall;
All Saints, Murston, 10am, Lay Reader Mrs Heather Thompson will take the service, followed by an Act of Remembrance at the war memorial outside the church at 11am;
War memorial, Central Avenue, Sittingbourne, 10.20 for 10.45am, the service will be led by the Reverend Michael Resch. After the service the deputy Mayor Cllr Sue Gent and a representative from The Royal British Legion will take the salute as the parade marches past the war memorial;
St Giles Church, Tonge, 10.30am, the service will be taken by Lay Reader John Porte;
St Mary’s Church, Teynham, 10.45am, the Reverend Steve Lillicrap will officiate;
St Laurence Church, Bapchild, 10.30am, the service will be taken by the Reverend Michael Moseley.
