Three people have been charged following a serious assualt in Sittingbourne.
Police were called to William Street just before 1am on Sunday following a fight.
On arrival they found a man with injuries to his hands, back and stomach and a woman with injuries to her chest.
They are currently at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham receiving treatment for their injuries which have been described as serious but not life-threatening.
Nicky Wiggins, 35 of Laburnam Place, Sittingbourne, has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent and Anita Wiggins, 29, of Comet Drive, Shortstown, Bedford, was charged with one count of wounding with intent. Both will appear at Sittingbourne Magistrates Court tomorrow (Wednesday) moring for a remand hearing. They will remain in custody overnight.
Tina Wiggins, 24, of Millfield Road, Faversham, has been charged with affray and has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates Court on June 2.
A 26-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident remains in custody.
