A man and three children were taken to hospital after their minibus was involved in a crash with a lorry on a busy A-road.
Rush-hour queues built up following the collision, which happened in the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 just outside Sittingbourne at around 8.35am.
It happened near the Stockbury roundabout at junction 5 for the M2, and queues stretched back to Bobbing.
No one suffered serious injuries, paramedics said, but a man and three children were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
Further patients, including three other children, were treated at the scene.
A lane was closed for recovery works but has since reopened, and traffic has since eased.
Congestion was made worse due to existing roadworks at the roundabout, as preparations are made to transform the Stockbury roundabout with a new flyover.
Paramedics left around 11.30am.
Kent Police were also at the scene and were approached for comment.
