A number of caravans have been spotted near a country park.

The vans are currently in a wooded area just off Swale Way, close to Milton Creek Country Park near Sittingbourne.

They were spotted near the park yesterday at around midday and do not have permission to be there.

The site is owned by Kent County Council.

They are currently running welfare checks on the location and have not yet issued a date of departure.

So far there have been no reported complaints.

It is reported there are around four caravans at the site.
