British Transport Police officers were called to the station following reports of a disturbance at 10.30pm on Saturday.

A 32-year-old man, from Brockley, south east London, was arrested and taken into custody for questioning. The injured man, a 26-year-old, from Sittingbourne, was also arrested but taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, with minor bruising to the back of his head.

He was discharged the following day. Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
