Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted in a car park.
The victims were walking along Sittingbourne High Street when a group of young people began to follow them at about 7.50pm on Monday, November 4.
They were followed through the churchyard of St Michael’s Church and into the car park in St Michael’s Road.
In the car park, the victims were allegedly punched to the ground and assaulted as they tried to protect themselves. Both of them were taken to a hospital with injuries.
The same group of youths were also reported to be throwing stones at a shop in the high street at a similar time.
PC Richard Cousins, the officer in charge of the investigation, said: "We believe there may be witnesses to this incident, however, they have not yet come forward."
