Two people have been taken to hospital following a two-car crash which closed a major road.

An accident victim had reportedly been thrown from their vehicle in Sheppey Way, Bobbing, near Sittingbourne.

The fire service had also been called this morning as one of the vehicles had gone up in flames.

A spokesman said a drone was launched over concerns someone had been ejected from one of the vehicles involved.

An air ambulance attended the scene at 8.15am where they worked with paramedics and police to help treat two patients.

They were then taken to hospital by road with crews accompanying them to continue delivering care.

The road has since reopened.
