A village hosted an art exhibition featuring work solely by artists from Swale.
The second event organised by the newly-formed Art Train group was held at Iwade village hall last Saturday.
Work on display included both arts and crafts by 14 members, including Nikki Baker’s pencil portraits and Wendy Hayler’s textile creations.
Group member Donna Newman said: “It was a great success. Feedback was very positive indeed and we’re hoping to go back again.”
The exhibition, which followed a similar event in Tunstall, also raised funds for Demelza Hospice Care for Children through the sale of postcards designed by the artists.
Further exhibitions are planned and the latest has already begun.
The group’s work will be occupying the Herne Bay Pier Trust Gallery for six weeks, with two artists at a time each week.
The first two are Gavin Cowden, who works in oils, and photographer Peter Brook.
The gallery is open from 11am to 6pm from Thursdays to Sundays.
