A woman and teenager have been charged after multiple reports of handbag thefts.

On Thursday, April 6, a couple reported they had £5,000 they had just withdrawn from a bank taken from their bag while they were in Central Avenue, Sittingbourne.

On Saturday, March 25, a woman reportedly had £60 taken from her purse while she was in a shop in the High Street.

Today, a 17-year-old girl was charged with two counts of theft and is due to appear before Medway Youths’ Court on August 10.

Ana Georgieva, 37, from Redlands Road, Enfield, was also charged with two counts of theft and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on July 27.
