A woman is believed to have been seriously injured after a crash in Lynsted.

Witnesses reported seeing three fire engines, the police and the air ambulance being called to the crash site near The Street and Lynsted Road.

A small silver car was seen on its roof 50m past the entrance to The Vallance.

The road has been closed off and the driver, a woman in her eighties, was flown to a London hospital with serious injuries.

It is not known at this time if the injuries are life threatening.

The vehicle was recovered and Kent Highways attended to clear oil from the road.
