The inquest into the death of a woman who died after choking on a piece of cake has been opened.
Jill Wood, 64, from Sterling Road, Sittingbourne, a former receptionist, died at home on August 26, while having tea with her husband.
She began choking and quickly fell unconscious. Paramedics declared her dead at the scene.
A post mortem found her airway partially blocked with food, but her heart disease and multiple sclerosis were contributing factors.
The inquest will be resumed at the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone on Tuesday, November 26.
