Students hoped it was a case of bangers and cash as they created sausage recipes for a charity cook book.
Year 10 pupils at Westlands made a selection of tasty meals from meat produced at the school farm.
The most inventive dishes will be published as part of a collection to raise money for LEPRA Health in Action, which helps leprosy sufferers.
Sausage, egg and bacon pie and Mediterranean sausage pasta were among the classroom delicacies.
The recipes have been sent to the charity so it can select a winner.
Year 10 teacher Sarah Bell said: “Students really enjoyed the challenge and researching recipes to create.
“It will hopefully result in one or two being published, and raise money for a very worthwhile charity.”
