When a new garden centre needed a striking name and logo it turned to primary schoolchildren to come up with something imaginative in a competition.
The centre is part of Bredgar Farm Shop, The Street, Bredgar, so it approached the village primary school – and 40 children entered.
Year Four pupil Sadie and Year Five pupil Shannon won with their Blooming Lovely at Bredgar Garden Centre name and smiling flower with leaf logo.
Centre leaseholder Tim Clark, of Primrose Grove, Bredgar, said: “It was a really tough choice because there were so many good entries.
“The centre opened five weeks ago and I run it with my business partner Fiona Ware. The winning design has already been made into posters.”
David Whitehead, head teacher at Bredgar Primary School, said: “We are only too happy to help support local businesses and I am delighted that so many children entered."
