Disappointment for Kent Kings as they crash out of the National League Knockout Cup after 110-76 aggregate defeat to Isle of Wight Islanders

Kent Kings proved no match for the Isle of Wight Islanders on Tuesday night, suffering a 61-32 defeat to crash out of the National League Knockout Cup.

Despite heroics from Kings captain Steve Boxall, who won all his heats and contributed 18 points to the cause, the visitors fell short at the Smallbrook Stadium for an aggregate 110-76 reverse after last month's 49-44 first-leg defeat.

To make matters worse for Kings, Benji Compton was withdrawn with concussion.

Ben Morley was Kings' next-best scorer with five points but, with Boxall the only winner on the night, the side were always struggling.

Kings visit Mildenhall Fen Tigers in the National League on Sunday.
