Kent Kings have postponed their National Trophy match against Leicester Young Lions.

A decision was made with heavy rain forecast in the Sittingbourne area later today (Monday).

A Kings statement said: “The early decision was taken to prevent any unnecessary journeys to Central Park on the basis that widespread heavy, and perhaps thundery, showers and/or longer periods of rain are forecasted for this afternoon and this evening.”

The Kings were hoping to register their first points in this year’s Trophy competition against the Lions - a younger version of the club’s Elite League team.

The Kent side would have been without Ben Morley for the match, as he is riding for Lakeside Hammers at Belle Vue in Manchester. That fixture is live on Sky Sports 1 from 7.30pm.
