Sittingbourne defender Lex Allan has been training with Millwall.
The Championship club like the 6ft 7in centre-half and are set to invite him back.
Brickies put Allan on contract less than a fortnight ago following rumours of interest in the 18-year-old, who is in his first season of senior football.
Boss Nick Davis said: “Millwall watched Lex against VCD and got in touch in the week.
“He trained with the under-18s for a couple of hours and they put on a game against the under-23s to have a look at him.
“They liked him and want to get him back in for more training.
“He’s got all the attributes you can ask for.
“He’s exceptionally tall, relatively quick and his one-on-one defending is immense - I’ve never seen him get beaten.
“He’s only played six games of senior football, so it is early days for him, but if he keeps improving the way he is there’s no reason why he can’t go on and have a good career.
“He must be an intelligent player to have adapted as quickly as he has - he could go on to become a hell of a player.
“He wants to be a professional footballer one day and why not?
“It’s amazing to think a year or two ago he was sitting in Sheppey’s reserves and now he’s training at Millwall.”
Allan wouldn’t be the first Sittingbourne player to join Millwall should the south Londoners’ interest go anywhere.
Neil Emblen made the switch to the Den in 1993, signing for £210,000.
