Sittingbourne defender Lex Allan interesting Crystal Palace and Fulham

Crystal Palace and Fulham are the latest big clubs looking at Sittingbourne teenager Lex Allan.
The centre-half, who trained with Millwall for the second time last week, has been given a breather from the Brickies first team.
But whenever the 6ft 7in youngster gets back in the side, there’s sure to be plenty of scouts watching.
Brickies boss Nick Davis, whose side went top of Bostik South with a 1-0 win at Herne Bay last night, said: “He’s got clubs left, right and centre looking at him.
“He was at Millwall again last week, Palace have said they want him to train with them and Fulham have also enquired.
“There was also a scout from Birmingham at our League Cup game against Ramsgate last Tuesday but we didn’t play Lex that night.
“He’s getting some stick from the boys about going for a big price but he’s taking it all in his stride.
“You don’t often get someone that big - that’s why he’s getting all the attention.”
Allan has made only six league appearances for Sittingbourne since joining from park football over the summer.
Davis is in two minds what’s best for the defender at this early stage of his career.
He said: “He’s got to walk before he can run but he’s adapted well, ticking every box against different opponents and different types of player.
“He’s learning quickly and if he continues to do that, he’ll go on.
“He’s happy to be involved here but it’s a tough one.
“He could go to a pro club, play in their under-23s and get better coaching than we can provide - and on a daily basis.
“Would that give him the best shot? Potentially.
“On the other hand, playing regularly is important as well for your own development and your own experience. It’s a difficult one to advise at this stage.”
Sittingbourne go to Kent rivals Ashford in the FA Trophy preliminary round on Saturday.
