Sittingbourne Football Club manager Nick Davis has resigned following their defeat against Horsham on Saturday.

Davis offered his resignation after his side lost 3-1 at home in the Bostik South.

Sittingbourne had been on a poor run of form having lost nine of their last 11 matches in the league.

A club spokesman said: “After today's defeat against Horsham, manager Nick Davis offered his resignation which was accepted by the committee.

“Sittingbourne Football Club would like to thank both Nick and Tony Cornwell for all they have achieved at the club in the past five years and wish them well for the future. A further statement will follow later.”

Their recent dip in form has left them 14 in the table on 42 points.
