Matt Wyatt has play-off ambitions next season – even though he expects top scorer Joe Taylor to leave Sittingbourne.
Mid-table Brickies finished last season with one defeat in 10 matches and that’s given joint-boss Wyatt belief as he sets about taking them to the next level in Ryman League, Division 1 South.
He knows he may need a replacement for 27-goal striker Taylor, who has attracted interest from clubs at higher levels but that won’t stop him aiming high.
Wyatt, who is closing in on three new signings, said: “The play-offs are what I’m looking for next season.
“If we could finish anywhere from 10th to fifth it would be amazing.
“I’d love to say we’ll keep Joe but realistically we’re not going to hold on to a guy who’s got offers from higher clubs and good luck to him.
“Clubs with big financial backing will come in for your better players. Nobody likes it but that’s football and it happens at every level of the game."
