Sittingbourne boss Aslan Odev has spoken of his desire to be a full-time manager one day.
Odev has proved age is no barrier since his appointment as Brickies chief, aged just 26.
He's made an impact, building on last season's strong finish by leading his side up to eighth place in Bostik South East.
Last week, National League Maidstone named 30-year-old Harry Wheeler as their new manager.
That's encouraging for other young bosses such as Odev who are looking to forge a career.
If he brings success to Sittingbourne, doors could open for Odev.
He said: "I'm very focused on Sittingbourne. I want to build a club and I have a vision for that.
"My aim is to give Sittingbourne that professional feel and we're still getting there in terms of things like analysts, changing nutrition and making sure everything is as it should be.
"But I do want to be a full-time manager and go as high as I can.
"I have to keep ticking boxes and doing the right things and make sure we play the right way and that I work as hard as I possibly can.
"Credit to Harry Wheeler for getting the Maidstone job. I'm sure he's worked as hard as he can to reach that level and I wish him all the best.
"I feel I've improved in the time I've been doing it - 100%.
"Whether it's team-talks, how we organise stuff or how I carry myself, I've changed drastically - and all positively I hope.
"It's a learning curve but I feel I'm a quick learner.
"I just have to keep going and gaining experience and hopefully everything works out."
