Sittingbourne manager Nick Davis feels his team are capable of an FA Cup upset at Met Police

Nick Davis fancies Sittingbourne’s chances of an FA Cup upset.

Boss Davis plans to go on the attack when Brickies travel to Ryman League Premier Division team Met Police in the first qualifying round on Saturday (3pm).

They go into the tie on a run of five straight wins - their best form in about 20 years - following a 5-0 victory at Whitstable on Tuesday.

The winners receive £3,000 in prize money.

Davis said: “It wouldn’t surprise me if we won, not at all.

“It’s going to be a tough task - the draw could have been a lot kinder - but we go there fearless.

“The pressure was on us at Seven Acre in the preliminary round because they were a couple of leagues below and we were expected to win.

“This time the pressure is all on Met Police. We’re going there to attack them and win the game.

“We’ll have two up front and if we play as we have been lately, we’re going to create a lot of chances.

“We’ve already beaten one Ryman Prem team in Merstham in the League Cup. We outplayed them that night and we’ve definitely got a chance at Met Police.”

Brickies are fifth in Ryman League Division 1 South after thrashing Whitstable.
