Chris Lynch says Sittingbourne fear no one as they fight for survival in Bostik South East.

Goal difference is all that's keeping Bourne off the foot of the table after Saturday's 2-1 defeat by 10-man Haywards Heath.

But new manager Lynch has seen rapid progress in his much-changed squad and is confident wins are round the corner.

They visit play-off outsiders Phoenix this Saturday and host third-placed Ashford at Woodstock on Tuesday night.

Lynch said: "The squad we've got now, the depth, the character, they've all bought in to the plans and the way forward and have shown nothing but 100% commitment and positivity.

"Looking at our last two performances against teams near the top six, we should have won both those games.

"The performances are very pleasing, it's now just a matter of time and I can see us giving teams a bit of a hiding once it all starts fitting into place.

"In terms of the gelling process, they're starting to get to know each other off the field as well.

"Once we've gelled, we are going to be very, very dangerous against any team.

"As it stands, we don't fear anyone in the league now.

"The last two fixtures, we've shown character, belief and what we can do.

"We created 17 chances in 60 minutes on Saturday, which is more than we've done through the season.

"The results haven't been great all year but we're starting to see a very different Sittingbourne team who are up the fight.

"With Phoenix, I'll tell you now, I'm looking to go and get three points there and that's my belief in the squad we've got now."

Sittingbourne's latest signing is winger Timmy Babbington from Sheppey.

He made his debut against Haywards Heath and, like all recent recruits, was impressed by Lynch's vision for the club.

The Brickies boss said: "Timmy did well on his debut. He held up the ball well and looked dangerous in attack.

"He's got great feet and can play both left and right side.

"It's not easy getting quality players in, especially with the position we're in.

"However, they could see what I was about and the plans I have for the club and they're excited by those plans and the prospects of going on next season, building and looking to push for the play-offs.

"At the end of the day I fully believe that's attainable and next year we'll be really strong.

"The players were sold by the project."
