Sittingbourne have pulled off the signing of a Swiss midfielder.
It's rare Bourne have needed international clearance for a player - if ever - so the capture of Sefyettin Akdeniz has captured the imagination.
He impressed on his debut as a substitute in the 2-1 win at South Park on Thursday last week as Aslan Odev claimed his first victory as caretaker boss.
He missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Shoreham and the 2-1 defeat by Greenwich last night (Tuesday) as he's sitting an exam back home.
But the pacey youngster is set to return for Bourne's Good Friday home match against Thamesmead in Bostik South (3pm).
Odev said: "He's one from an agent that was put in contact with me because they believed in what we're trying to do at Sittingbourne.
"He's from Switzerland, Turkish-born I believe, and he's over here studying.
"He plays down the right-hand side, he's quick and he's played at quite a high level from what I've been told.
"It seems like it's true because he's quite good on the pitch, but he's in Switzerland at the moment doing an exam, so he'll be back for the game on Friday."
Germaine Dua, who scored the winner against Shoreham, is another new player to catch the eye.
Like Akdeniz, he arrives at Sittingbourne via an agent, in this case the same man used by left-back Fabrice Blewordah.
Odev said: "He used to play for Leatherhead and he came from the Crawley under-23s. I found out about him through Fabrice.
"I got Fabrice through an agent and his agent liked what I was doing and then offered me a few more players and Germaine was one of the ones we took on board."
Odev was pleased with back-to-back wins after starting his reign with five straight defeats, although he warned players not to get ahead of themselves before taking on Greenwich.
Sittingbourne visit Ramsgate on Easter Monday (3pm).
