Former Sittingbourne joint-boss Nick Davis is among the names being considered to succeed Matt Wyatt.
Brickies are looking for a manager after Wyatt’s resignation last week - and they could turn to Davis, who left in pre-season after Wyatt made a move to take sole charge.
Brickies didn’t want Davis to leave in the first place and neither the club nor the man himself are ruling out a return.
Sittingbourne secretary John Pitts said: "Nick knows the club and the players and we feel he did a good job as joint-manager.
"We need to take our time to make sure we get the decision right but Nick will be considered."
Davis, now a player at Southern Counties East side Tunbridge Wells, said: "I haven’t officially applied for it but I enjoyed my time at Sittingbourne.
"Tunbridge Wells have been good to me and I’m committed to them for the time being, but never say never.
"I’m sure there will be a lot of people ringing up for the job.
"I know there was a lot of interest last time, when me and Matt got the job."
