Boss Nick Davis feels Sittingbourne are being rewarded for their bravery.

Brickies are one of the teams to watch in Ryman League Division 1 South with their seven games producing 32 goals – 17 for and 15 against.

They go into home games against struggling Lewes on Saturday and Kent rivals Ramsgate on Tuesday full of confidence.

Davis said: “We’re a bit different this season. We’re braver and going out to win football matches.

“The idea is to attack and it’s causing problems. For the last two years we’ve not really looked a threat but we’re creating so many chances this season.

“We are conceding but that’s irrelevant at the moment. Don’t get me wrong, I like 1-0s and 2-0s but football is changing.

“You see a lot of random results flying about, teams are going into games with more attacking formations and more attacking players.

“At the moment we’re entertaining to watch and long may it continue."

Lewes have struggled since relegation, winning only two of their six games, while Brickies beat Rams last week in the League Cup. Striker Jordan Gallagher misses both games through suspension, but Brickies have no injury worries.
