Kent Kings' late-season form continued with a fifth home win in a row.
They beat Isle of Wight Islanders 47-43 at Central Park on Monday night to leave fans wishing the campaign was just starting.
Captain Steve Boxall set Kings on their way with his customary heat one success.
He went on to suffer two retirements but Ben Morley, Benji Compton and David Mason kept the scoreboard ticking over, while young Jack Kingston impressed again with a 9+3 return.
Kings travel to the Isle of Wight for the return league fixture tonight (Tuesday).
