Sittingbourne’s joint-boss Matt Wyatt doesn’t believe his side are getting the credit they deserve.

The Brickies stretched their unbeaten run in the Ryman League, Division 1 South to four games with a 2-0 home win over Horsham on Saturday.

But Wyatt said: “Sometimes in the Kent area we don’t get the recognition we deserve and we get overlooked by bigger clubs. We’ve got a great bunch of lads here who work hard. There are some with great potential and we are doing all right.

“In our last four games, we’ve taken 10 points from a possible 12 but often we hear comments like ‘well the pitch was bad’ or ‘the referee made some bad decisions’ or the ‘opposition had injuries.’.

"I don't think the players have been getting the plaudits that they deserve."

Sittingbourne will get the chance to prove just how good they are in the coming days with two daunting-looking fixtures.

They are away to fourth-placed Leatherhead on Saturday and follow with a game at Ramsgate on Tuesday.
