David Mason celebrated his return to the team with three heat wins as Kent Kings lifted the Eurolink Cup at Central Park on Monday night.
Kings, helped by former captain Mason's efforts, beat Scunthorpe Saints 45-33.
But the meeting had to be cut short by two heats to avoid breaking the 8.30pm curfew at the stadium.
Kings manager John Sampford said: "David returned to the side and rode very well. Tonight was a good morale boost for the lads.
"Now we have it all to do next Monday against a much-improved Buxton side who won at Mildenhall on Sunday."
