Sittingbourne let high-riding Cray off the hook in Tuesday’s Ryman League Division 1 South clash at Hayes Lane.
Cray, who were looking to go top on the night, were fortunate to escape with a draw after the Brickies took the lead and missed a penalty.
Tom Bradbrook struck his sixth goal of the season in the 25th minute from Colin Richmond’s pass to give the Brickies the lead which they should have increased with a 38th-minute penalty.
Referee Martin Yerby pointed to the spot when Richmond was fouled by Cray goalkeeper Glen Knight, who was fortunate to stay on the field. But the usually-reliable Brady saw his kick strike a post.
Cray equalised on the hour when Tyrone Sterling cut the ball back for midfielder Dean Morris to score.
